| Le KSM a tenu son Congrès malgré le jugement judiciaire
Plus de cent
délégués du KSM (Union des Jeunes Communistes) se sont réunis à Prague
pour leurs 8e Congrès. Les délégués ont discuté des suites à mener à
leur campagne fructueuse contre les plans d'établissement d'une base
des E.-U. en République Tchèque, des actions contre l'augmentation du
prix des études, etc. Bien entendu, le
verdict du tribunal était aussi à l'agenda du congrès... Le
KSM n'a clairement pas l'intention de se laisser intimider par ce
verdict. Ci-dessous, voici le communiqué de presse qu'ils ont envoyé
après leurs Congrès.

announcement of the 8th Congress of the KSM
 The
8th Congress of the Communist Youth Union (KSM) was held on 22nd-23rd
March in a building of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of
Bohemia and Moravia (KSCM) in Prague. More than 100 delegates and
guests participated at this Congress, among others a vice-chairwoman of
the Communist Party of Bohemia and Moravia Jana Bystřická, a chairwoman
of the Prague Council of the KSCM, a chairman of the Trade
Union of
Bohemia, Moravia and Silesia and a communist party MP Stanislav
Grospič. The 8th Congress of the KSM was held under a slogan
„Communists in the front line in the struggle for the rights of the
majority of the youth, for peace and socialism!“.
The congress
was held only few days after the decision of the Municipal court of
Prague, that made a stand for the decision of the Ministry of Interior,
that scandalously dissolved the organisation of the young communists.
The Congress of the KSM denounced the anticommunist and antidemocratic
attacks of the state power against the young communists and has
appealed to all the democratic forces to resist these attacks. The
communist youth made also sure all of its members and friends that
despite the ban and persecutions the KSM doesn’t withdraw its
activities for the interests of the majority of the young generation –
the students, apprentices, the young workers and unemployed – and its
struggle for socialism.
 The Congress discussed the acivities
of the young communists against a plan to construct a US military base
in Czech Republic. The KSM strictly denounces this plan from the very
beginning. The KSM was the first organisation that iniciated a public
campaign against the possible construction of the US military base in
Czech Republic. The communist youth organised hundreds of public
activities against the US military base – demonstrations, petition
actions, debates, meetings, cultural activities etc. The petition of
the KSM against the plan to construct the US military base has been
signed by more than 150 000 inhabitants so far. The communist
youth
intends to organize further activities in the struggle against the
military base.
The young communists discussed also the
activities against the policy of the social destruction realized by the
current Topolanek’s right-wing government that are also attacking the
young generation. In this context the KSM refused, for example, a new
proposal to introduce fees for university studies. The communist youth
has already many times succesfully contributed to rejection of
introduction of the fees for university studies. The defence of the
right for the free education was declared one of the priorities of the
organisation.
The Congress also elected a new leadership of the
KSM, among others a Central Council consisting of 20 members. Milan
Krajča was elected as chairman of the KSM.

| Le courage
Lorsqu'un tribunal met hors la loi une organisation qui est une des seules à se battre contre les ravages de la ré instauration du capitalisme en Tchéquie, c'est le tribunal qui est illégal
Les jeunes communistes tchèques continuent le combat, à nous de les soutenir

Aucune couverture mediatique sur ce sujet a travers la presse internationale qui prefere se focaliser sur le Tibet et les violations contre la democratie et les libertes elementaires du gouvernement chinois.
Pourtant cette decision du tribunal tcheque est une entrave manifeste a la liberte elementaire de rassemblement et d'expression.
C'est ca la nouvelle Europe democratique?
